Welcome to the Hinsdale Embroiderers' Guild
Our highly anticipated September fiber artist and educator Shin-hee Chin did not disappoint us during the two days of creativity, texture, and learning workshop. No matter the skill level each participant brought, everyone enjoyed, learned, and created using a new technique of stitching. Fun was had by all!
Coming in October, Monday, Oct. 19
Jean Farish Needleworks, presents an overview of pulled thread, spanning cultures and centuries. Jean designs and teaches cross stitch and needlepoint throughout the United States and country often on a cruise in which she combines stitching classes and excursions with a focus on needlework.
Our workshop that day is a small band Sampler of cross stitch and pulled threads.
We are still making hearts for the Hospice Project. We have exceded 100 hearts! Keep stitching! There is no limit to the number that can be distributed. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Upcoming Program & Workshop
Monday, September 21 and 22, 2026
Program: On Monday, Shin-hee will share her journey, inspiration, and the stories behing her heavily textured fiber art and portraits.
Workshop: On Monday (12:00-4:00) and into Tuesday (9:30-11:30) we will take a deep dive into innovative stitching and layering techniques. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with Shin-hee and the push the boundaries of your current embroidery practice.
While the lecture is open to all, spaces for the Monday and Tuesday workshop are strictly limited to ensure everyone gets personalized guidance.
