Origami Quilting

Coleen Walter has planned a wonderful workshop for us on the techniques of making 3-dimensional origami fabric flowers. Coleen has chosen three different folded & sewn flowers that can be finished as a bouquet, sewn onto a fabric background and enhanced with Sashiko stitching

Ornament Finishing
with Judy Ellison
Judy Ellison will give a slide show presentation on finishing needlepoint and cross stitch ornaments followed by a workshop leading participants through finishing their own stitched ornament. Techniques will include getting your stitched piece ready for finishing, the actual stitched finishing itself and applying cording to finish off your ornament. There will be a demo of twisting cording with 1, 2 and 3 colors. Workshop participants will leave with a finished piece.
The kit will provide all the materials necessary to finish your piece. Solid color fabrics for the back of your piece will be included, but you are welcome to bring your own backing if you have something specific for your piece.
